Guide to Offline Browsing
Owing to the default security settings Internet Explorer in Windows XP, when accessing this website from a CD or from a file on your computer you may get warnings about allowing Active Content. This can happen on many of the pages you visit.
The Active Content is javascript which is used to play the mp3 files, in the navigation system, to display notes, and to enable the search facilities.
It does not try to access the Internet in any way, and does not try to download content to your computer.
There are two solutions to the problem. The easiest may be to browse the website with Firefox, Netscape, Opera, or any browser not tied to Internet Explorer. You can do this by right-clicking on one of the html files, and selecting Open with... and choose whatever browser suits you.
The second way is to change your security settings in Internet Explorer. Go to Tools on the menu bar, and select Internet Options. On the Advanced tab scroll down till you get to the Security section, and then select these options: "Allow active content to run from CDs on My Computer" and/or "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer". You have to restart IE for these settings to take effect.
